Our client, a leading food company, is looking for a Maintenance Machinist to join their team in Santa Ana, CA. This role involves operating manual machining equipment to produce and repair parts, ensuring quality and precision in every task.

Key Responsibilities

Operate manual lathes, milling machines, and other machining equipment to create or repair parts.Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and sketches.Set up and adjust machines for production runs.Inspect parts for quality and compliance with specifications.Repair damaged shafts and fit bearings with precision.Maintain cleanliness and organization in the workspace while adhering to safety regulations.Collaborate with engineers and team members to optimize machining processes.Document work, including measurements and adjustments.

Requirements

Proficient in operating manual machining tools, including lathes and milling machines.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and problem-solving skills.Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.High school diploma or equivalent (technical training or apprenticeship preferred).Knowledge of safety protocols in machining environments.High school diploma or equivalent is required.Technical training or apprenticeship in machining is preferred.

Pay & Schedule

Pay: Starting at $29/hour (based on experience).Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Days off: Sunday and Monday; flexibility to work Sundays if needed).
