Maintenance Management Analyst
Summary This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Our mission is to deliver public and military engineering services to strengthen our Nation's security, energize the economy, and reduce risks from disasters. Responsibilities GS-11 - Thorough knowledge of the Facility and Equipment Maintenance (FEM) systems operation to facilitate planning, scheduling, and tracking maintenance of project assets and the costs associated those activities. GS-11 and GS-12 - Utilizes FEM systems and specialized reporting software to gather and interpret data to identify any trends. GS-11 and GS-12- Coordinates with Division, District, and Project level offices to implement asset management policies. GS-11 and GS-12 - Provides or arranges for user training or guidance to FEM systems users. GS-11 and GS-12 - Ensues standardization and consistency of FEM systems processes and business practices across the district's operating projects. GS-11 and GS-12 - Conducts independent project site visits to meet maintenance management goals and objectives GS-12 - Expert knowledge of the FEM systems operation to facilitate planning, scheduling, and tracking maintenance of project assets and the costs associated those activities. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. GS-11 - Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Knowledge and utilization of the Facility and Equipment Maintenance System's (FEM) database; 2) Providing or arranging for user training or guidance to FEM users; and 3) Ensuring standard or consistent FEM processes and business practices across the district's operating projects. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. GS-12 - Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Knowledge and utilization of the Facility and Equipment Maintenance System's (FEM) database; 2) Organizational knowledge, policy, and procedure implementation; and 3) Reporting building and analysis of data. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
