Applied Materials AGS Automation Products Group (APG) is hiring an application engineer to support product development, customer deployment, and services for Applied SmartFactory® and SmartFactory Rx® automation products and solutions in the areas of manufacturing execution, factory performance, equipment performance, and advanced process control. Additionally, candidate will drive continuous improvement, help improve knowledge base management, and seek opportunities to build organizational efficiencies using technology, AI, machine learning, automation, and optimization.
This position is remote and will require some domestic and international travel.
Key Responsibilities
Implement Maintenance Management (CMMS) solutions and MES solutions, integrated with other key factory and business systems, for our customersDevelop new solutions and products with internal APG product development team to address market demandsCoordinate customer’s teams to deploy and optimize CMMS solutions to achieve factory KPIsCoordinate with customer’s systems administration and IT teams on configuring, developing and deploying CMMS/MES solutions.Present technical information to customers including technical contributors and managers.Create, evolve and implement CMMS/MES application training and/or demonstrationsProject management tasks in accordance with APG standard project management lifecyclePerform software installations at customer locationsKnowledge base contribution/managementRespond to customer requests for proposal (RFP)Develop and deliver statements of work (SOW) and cost estimates for proposed customer projectsImprove operations through continuous improvement standards such as: 8D, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5-Whys.Key Skills and Experience:
Experience working in semiconductor manufacturing as process or equipment engineerExperience with factory automation applications with specific knowledge in CMMS/MES (either as end user or as administrator)Familiar with SEMI E10 and SEMI E79 standardsExperience working with other factory automation and business systems such as MES and ERPProject management skills with ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.Working knowledge of databases and use of SQL.Working proficiency using programming and scripting languages such as R, Python, C# is preferredExperience explaining technical and business concepts to Sr. management and managing diverse requirements among multiple stakeholders.Other Functional Knowledge

$128,000.00 - $176,000.00The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.
For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
