Program Summary

The Marine Corps' Prepositioning (MCPP) Program is based on Blount Island in Jacksonville, Florida. KBR provides maintenance and logistics services to the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) and U.S. Navy.  We are seeking a Maintenance Manager Officer (MMO) to join our team!

Job Summary

The Maintenance Management Officer is responsible for supervision and management of the eight functional areas of maintenance management and inherent programs within maintenance such as the calibration and warranty programs. Advises the Program Manager (PM) on the performance of supply and maintenance production actions within the prepositioning program.  The MMO develops Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and conducts daily metric analysis to monitor and manage supply and maintenance performance through maintenance production cycles.  The MMO creates, implements, and enforces program level policies that are designed to streamline processes and to provide guiding principles for program staff.

Roles and Responsibilities

Drive maintenance activities to ensure equipment is ready for issue condition within the prescribed maintenance production cycle timeline.Supervise part and materiel requisitions to ensure requirements are stocked sufficiently to support the maintenance effort. Write policy to correct process gaps between subordinate commodities and staff.Create, plan, and execute inspections to ensure compliance with the Statement of Work and Marine Corps orders.Supervise the creation of publication libraries for ships and forward deployed locations to ensure mechanics and technicians are referring to the most up to date equipment related literature.Supervise the completion of each maintenance cycle and transfer of responsibility between the maintenance production cycle and Maritime Prepositioning Ships (MPS) or land-based locations.Provide coordination with other groups to accomplish tasks outside normal areas of responsibility.Participate in the department strategic planning process to develop long-term plans and ensure appropriate skills are available when needed.Coordinate and lead activities of subordinates and cross-functional teams.Evaluate and analyze current work methods to foster continuous improvement. Provide technical direction as required.Conduct performance evaluations, plan salary actions, recommend promotions, interpret and apply organization policies, and provide leadership to resolve employee challenges.Champion, coach and motivate teams and/or team members. Provide career development and training for subordinates.Conduct meetings and technical presentations.Assigned as the primary customer interface for maintenance management operational group issues and responsible for gaining and maintaining positive customer rapport.

Basic Qualifications

Must be able to pass a U.S. Government background investigation and obtain a NACI. Due to this, you must be a U.S. Citizen to be eligible for this position.Requires a BA/BS degree with a major study in business, management, logistics or a related field. In lieu of degree / formal education, 18 years of related experience.Must have 10 years of directly related work experience including 5 years of supervisory experience in supervisory/management capacity.Must have experience in GCSS-MC and using OBIEE Reports User for analysis.Must have the ability to comply with all established methods, quality standards, and time schedules applicable to this position.Must have strong written and oral communication skills.Must possess leadership skills, ability to counsel, coach, develop, and motivate staff.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates who have 10 years of Marine Corps maintenance management or maintenance leadership experience.Advanced user of Microsoft Excel and Power BI.Advanced user of GCSS-MC and OBIEE reports writer.Lean / Six Sigma Green Belt Trained.
