Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager who is also a qualified Millwright to join their team in Randfontein, GP. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial maintenance and repair in the food industry, as well as a proven track record of managing a team of maintenance technicians effectively.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance program for all machinery and equipment in the facility. Schedule and oversee routine maintenance tasks, repairs, and upgrades to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. Manage a team of maintenance technicians, providing leadership, training, and support as needed. Coordinate with production managers to prioritize maintenance tasks and minimize disruptions to production schedules. Procure necessary supplies, tools, and equipment for maintenance activities. Monitor and maintain an inventory of spare parts and equipment. Develop and implement procedures for preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of machinery and equipment. Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and company policies.Requirements:
Qualified Millwright with a valid trade certificate. Proven experience in industrial maintenance and repair in the food/meat industry, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role. Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and best practices. Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Office and maintenance management software.Benefits:
