We have an immediate opening for a Maintenance Manager at the Sweeny, Clemens, Old Ocean Facility (SCO) located in Sweeny, Texas. The Maintenance Manager reports directly to the Plant Manager and is a key member of the SCO Plant Leadership Team. This position directs all maintenance activities at the facility and includes the following work groups: Electrical, Instrument, Mechanical, Analytical, Heavy Craft Maintenance, Contract Services, Maintenance Engineering, and Planning and Scheduling. This includes ~150 CPChem Employees and ~500 nested contractors. **Responsibilities** + Ensure that established safety processes are followed. + Monitor and optimize maintenance resources and efficiencies utilizing the Operations and Maintenance Work Process (OMWP). + Manage costs within budget. + Execute shutdown planning and equipment reliability strategies. + Oversee and ensure execution of a successful reliability worst actor program. + Drive continuous improvement within maintenance activities. + Provide quality services and utilize SAP systems and principles. + Work with maintenance personnel to ensure effective planning & scheduling, repair of equipment and facilities. + Foster an open, productive, quality work environment among a diverse work group. Provides oversight and direction for contracted maintenance workforce provided by third party suppliers. **Required Qualifications** + Must possess a bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline with 12 years of relevant experience or 20 years of relevant maintenance and/or operations experience. + Must have 9 or more years of experience in a supervisory position. + Experience in multiple departments (Operations, Maintenance, Technical, Environmental, Health, Safety & Security (EHSS). + Previous Site Leadership Team experience (i.e. Manager). + Must be knowledgeable of petrochemical maintenance procedures, Operations Maintenance Work Procedure (OMWP), maintenance metrics, and maintenance strategies. + Must have the ability to develop a cooperative work environment who values/models Diversity Equity & Inclusion (DEI) while holding organization accountable. + Must be able to effectively communicate with contractors and employees at all levels of the company. + Ability to effectively engage and drive change at all levels of the organization + Ability to multi-task and provide work direction within a lean, dynamic manufacturing environment. + Proven leadership, team building, and advanced coaching skills. + Self-starter with a hands-on leadership style; ability to use sound and self-directed judgment to provide work direction to organization. + Previous experience in budget development, financial principles, and managing expense and capital budgets. **Preferred Qualifications** + Experience working with a union workforce + Experience with maintenance management software (SAP, Prometheus, etc) + Experience with Asset Management software (e.g. Meridium) + Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline + Previous Site Leadership Team experience (i.e. Manager) + Diverse experience in multiple areas of manufacturing, commercial, and/or Research & Technology + Experience at multiple sites + Operations or Maintenance Superintendent experience Chevron Phillips Chemical offers competitive salaries, a comprehensive benefits package and at most locations, alternate work schedules.
