Job Description POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for the condition and repair of all tooling equipment and processes by coordinating, scheduling, and training maintenance personnel and ensuring the proper inventory of the necessary tooling parts are on hand. Coordinate all project work related to tooling and changeovers in the department. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: + Promote, follow and maintain the work area and equipment in a safe, clean and orderly condition + Maintain accurate maintenance records and make necessary changes to schedule in conjunction with management in adherence to Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), compliance with company policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), and all other government regulations (i.e. OSHA, DHEC, etc.) + Demonstrate appropriate attendance and punctuality in supporting and performing typical maintenance tasks to support designated production and/or facility areas (troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, installation, repair, etc.) and attentiveness to scheduled and unscheduled periodic maintenance and/or cleaning of equipment and machines + Contribute to continuous process improvement efforts to reduce scrap, cycle times, improve efficiency, and eliminate waste within the production/industrial environment + Directly responsible or assists others in installation, relocation, troubleshooting, repair, upgrades, calibration, and routine setup of assigned equipment including assisting with root cause analysis of equipment failures and implementing fixes + Receive requests for maintenance, prioritizes maintenance activities based on urgency and availability of resources, and assign technicians to open work orders + Oversee the work of technical maintenance staff, contractors, or subcontractors and inspect work for completeness + Train operators, technicians, and other employees who work with assigned equipment + Mentor and train entry and intermediate level technicians in order to raise the skill level of the organization + Coordinate vendor equipment training + Indirectly responsible for productivity via ensuring that assigned equipment is running properly and at assigned speeds + Order spare parts through proper facility channels + Operate newly repaired machinery and equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs + Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and properly complete all associated paperwork in timely manner for assigned equipment + Identify maintenance trends, suggest modifications to PM program to address trends and improve equipment up time + Additional duties as assigned SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: + Responsible for supervising multiple projects + Responsible for supervising a team of employees Qualifications + Minimum high school diploma required OR Associates Degree in related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key accountabilities of the job required. + Bachelor's Degree preferred + 8+ years progressive maintenance experience required + 5+ years in a leadership role (direct or indirect) + Prior managerial/supervisory experience preferred + High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications + Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills + Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning) + Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts + Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients + Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment. + Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management + Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting + Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals + Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs + Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos + Possess a mechanical aptitude; ability to use a large variety of hand tools and basic knowledge of power tools and forklifts + Ability to work overtime as necessary + Flexibility to address emergency situations, maintenance malfunctions and team absences when necessary, including being available to report to the facility on an on-call basis Additional Information PHYSICAL ASPECTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT: + Regularly required to stand;
