Maintenance Manager

Position based out of Bear Lake, Michigan.

 

Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE:  

To be responsible for overseeing all maintenance operations at the Home Office and surrounding c-store locations, while ensuring that all equipment, facilities, and machinery are maintained and functioning well. This position is responsible for overseeing the Bear Lake Maintenance team.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications related to general maintenance would be helpful.Proven experience in a maintenance role, accompanied by at least 5 years in a leadership position.Must be able to work independently and lead a team effectively and professionallyBe able to demonstrate strong technical skills in the following areas, HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems.Strong leadership skillsClear communication skillsAbility to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Physical ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and lift heavy objects.Knowledge of safety standards and regulations.Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Leadership and supervision of maintenance team.Oversee maintenance and care of 80-100 facilities.Maintenance planning and coordination of projects to complete.Diagnose problems and troubleshoot efficient solutions.Develop a timely schedule for tasks to be completed, while also partnering with other departments to ensure tasks are completed efficiently with minimal business “down-time.”Oversee and participate in repair processes for machinery and facilities.Ensure safety and compliance policies are being met by workers and company when conducting maintenance tasks.Regularly complete safety inspections and audits.Maintain administrative paperwork for, training, work orders, employee reviews, and corrective actions if necessary.Oversee maintenance equipment inventory based on budgets provided and resources needed to complete projectsEnsure an emphasis on growth and efficiency is always present amongst your team and self.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: 

Work is normally performed in a heavy equipment repair facility environment, with the presence and use of petroleum products such as oil, lubricants and cleaning solutions. Work will be performed inside and outside based on the needs of the project.Able to lift, move, push or pull up to 50 pounds frequently, with or without mechanical assistance.Regular stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching and or crawling.Prolonged periods standing and walking.Use and manipulation of hand and power tools, welders and common machining equipment.Ability to see and hear in a manner that properly executes the position essential duties.Physically qualified for a driver’s license.
