Baxter Thetford are keen to speak with experienced Maintenance Managers who are looking for a meaningful new role within a fast-paced team. We know your talent is needed across a wide variety of industries; working within our Operational Maintenance Engineering team you have a wide array of career choices, be motivated by the opportunity to work in a company that supports innovation, professional development, and a purposeful mission.

Working closely with the Head of Engineering you will collaborate with Production, Engineering and other support functions onsite, lead and develop a Maintenance Team of 20 and play a key role in all manufacturing and support equipment and processes which are critical to the production of our products.

Duties & Responsibilities

Lead the maintenance team to deliver an effective and efficient service to our customers that meets the expectations of the business.

Ensure root cause of equipment issues are identified and effective solutions implemented in a timely manner.

Support the introduction of new equipment and processes and contribute to the development of same.

Organise and manage planned and unplanned maintenance of services, plant and equipment.

Ensure preventative maintenance routines are completed in a timely manner and to a high standard to ensure Safety, Quality and Performance standards are met.

Provide support during internal and external audits.

Manage spend to meet budget constraints.

Experience & Education

HNC or equivalent in electrical and mechanical engineering

High degree of competency in electrical and mechanical fault finding, schematics wiring and circuitry

Experience with automation and robotics

Good level knowledge of electrical Safety, CCT and controllers

Good level Mechanical knowledge and overall engineering understanding in a highly regulated manufacturing environment

Working knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems

Work as part of a wider team but also show the ability to work independently

Team Management experience
