Maintenance Manager

Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:

Provides leadership and direction to the Maintenance Team and inspire high performance through effective goal setting and performance measurement. Prioritizes and oversees day-to-day activities of the Maintenance Department. Ensures maintenance employees are following safe work practices and procedures consistently and completely. Follow GMP in compliance with all Food Safety requirements. Responsible for department budgeting. Coordinate plant projects, design and development, overhauls, machine relocation, etc. Liaison for State or Federal inspections, Local Fire Department & Insurance inspections. Ability to prioritize workload and balance administrative duties with time spent on the floor. Strong written, interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. Partner with plant Safety, Quality, Production, Shipping & Receiving, and Administrative Departments. \n

Candidate Requirements:

Demonstrates a keen ability in using a systematic and scientific approach to solving problems. Knowledge of the application of Lean Manufacturing, TPM, 5S and Root Cause Analysis. Computer literate in MS applications: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Forms. LOTO, Basic PLC, VFD, Electrical and Mechanical Knowledge/Experience Knowledge of machine shop equipment (welders, grinders, lathes, cutting equipment, etc.). Knowledge of Capital Process and ROI. Experience with CMMS Systems and Inventory Management.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required. BS or AS degree in a technical field strongly preferred. Five years plant maintenance in a managerial or supervisory role required. Strong knowledge of printing and paper converting machinery preferred. \n
