What You Can Expect
As our Maintenance Manager, at The Ohio State University, you will be responsible for directing and managing the overall maintenance of the central utility plants (Steam, Chilled Water, Combined Heat & Power) on the campus. The Maintenance Manager ensures that all assigned facilities on campus are efficient and properly maintained and serviced. Every day you will be in charge of leading, developing and supervising a team of skilled employees. The Maintenance Manager will be involved with capital project reviews and installation from an Operations & Maintenance perspective. This role will identify short-term and long-term maintenance needs and assist with capital project development and you will report to the Director of Energy Delivery.
What You’ll Bring
Possess high school diploma or G.E.D 5 years of supervisory experience You possess steam or natural gas turbine experience You have experience with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and Microsoft Office; managing the Maximo CMMS maintenance work order, equipment history and record keeping system You will be responsible for maintaining compliance with regulatory bodies (PUCO, OEPA, OSHA) You will direct maintenance personnel in the maintenance, repair and upgrade of utility plants that produce steam, chilled water, heating hot water, compressed air, treated water, and electricity You will develop and improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs You will manage spare part inventories and record systems. You know how to manage maintenance service contracts You will provide analysis of equipment inspections and failures, developing repair and replacement plans on existing plant equipment You have the ability to review plans and specifications for capital projects, ensure constructability and maintainability of new equipment installations, inspect construction/installation of utility system projects and new building utility infrastructure to ensure compliance with design standards You know how to provide recommendations and input to department budget process and spending plans. Prepare, review and control budget and spending for the mechanical maintenance team You know how to provide input to capital plans for the utility plants; support system planning and recommend future steam, power generation, chilled water, natural gas and heating hot water improvements and repairs You will be responsible for the development of direct and indirect reports including annual performance evaluations You will perform other duties as assigned
Additional Details
This role requires attendance at a worksite on a daily basis; Must be available to travel domestically up to 5% Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license; you will drive company vehicle Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies; This position consists of 10% of outdoor work, while performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions This position is subject to 24-hour calls
Compensation
Salary Range: $116,200 – $172,500 USD annually
This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
