Position Summary: The Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading a team in the installation, modification, maintenance, repair or removal of Manufacturing and Application equipment. This role will also maintain the site’s warehouse, its utilities and the site perimeter.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead a team including Mechanics by reviewing Facility maintenance needs daily and directing them to complete them in timely manner.Develop relevant Maintenance KPIs and strives for Continuous improvement.Mentor and train Mechanics with a reliability-driven mindset rather than reactive maintenance.Create, modify and review preventative the maintenance (PM) program to improve equipment availability.Assist workers in diagnosing malfunctions in equipment and serve as a Subject Matter Expert.Review job orders to determine work priorities. Schedule repairs, maintenance, and installation of equipment. Ensure scheduling and personnel for outside contractors on project work managed by the Contract Administrator to meet project goals in a safe and cost-effective manner. Conduct RCFA on maintenance-related failures.Approve requisitions and maintain inventory of tools, equipment, supplies and spare parts. Inspect completed work for conformance to blueprints, specifications, and standards. Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations. Add or update maintenance job procedures.Responsible for creating/monitoring/maintaining critical spare parts list and inventory.Provide recommendations re. working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of the process. Initiate plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals. Collaborate with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments. Assume role of permanent member to the Safety Committee. Coordinate “Annual Inventory” of spare parts assisting the Accounting Department.Responsible for approving the maintenance timecards and manage time off to ensure proper coverage reducing the down time of equipment.Implement management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required with an Engineering discipline preferred.Minimum 3-5 years of experience within a Coatings/Chemical facility or 8-10 years of equipment maintenance experience.Minimum 3 years of managerial experience.Strong people and communication skills.Technical proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Windows. Stay current on emerging improvements in Engineering Technology related to Plant maintenance. Six Sigma green belt certification preferred.Knowledge of Reliability improvement tools is an added plus.Our Company:
