Maintenance Manager
**Job Title: Maintenance Manager** **Job Description** Our company, a multi-plant contract manufacturer, specializes in producing powertrain components for the Automotive, Diesel Engine, and Military industries. We are seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee all maintenance activities, ensuring minimal mechanical downtime and leading the maintenance department. **Responsibilities** + Allocate workload and supervise upkeep staff (custodians, janitors, etc.). + Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities including historical machine data. + Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary. + Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues. + Develop and implement maintenance procedures. + Manage relationships with contractors and service providers. + Stay updated on the latest technology. + Ensure compliance with health and safety policies. + Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities. + Hire, fire, coach, and train maintenance staff. + Implement Lean Manufacturing, KPI's, and 5S methodologies. + Manage discipline and actions within the team. + Handle payroll, timekeeping, and task assignments. + Schedule and address Preventive Maintenance Program. **Essential Skills** + 5+ years in a supervisory/managerial position. + 10+ years as a maintenance technician, including 5+ years working on CNC machines. + Advanced knowledge of CNC maintenance (troubleshooting, repairs, gears, motors, valves, etc.). + Proficiency in hydraulics, pneumatics, PLC troubleshooting, and electrical systems. + Experience and knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and KPI's. + Expertise in Preventive Maintenance programs and their execution. + Ability to train and coach team members hands-on. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree (preferred). + Basic knowledge of computer programs (Microsoft Office). + Experience with ERP Systems - PLEXS is a plus. + Machining experience (running a CNC Mill/OKK) is advantageous. **Why Work Here?** We are a family-owned company that values our employees. The facility houses newer machines and was recently cleaned in January. The dress code requires oil-resistant or steel-toe shoes, no cutoffs, hats worn forward, and no loose clothing. The role includes a 1/2 hour unpaid lunch and a 20-minute paid break. Work hours are from 7 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays. This is a salaried position with no overtime. **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent position based out of Fraser, Michigan. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
