Job Duties
Ensure timely and effective repair of facility machinery and equipment, including machine tools and HVAC.Implement Total Productive Management programMaintain communication with Facilities Manager, Corporate Environmental Manager, and Plant Manager.Implement and maintain routine preventative maintenance and an asset management system for critical facility and equipment, supporting machine uptime metrics and mechanic accountability.Manage CMMS system, providing reports, data analytics, and primary support for North America.Direct and train maintenance personnel across a three-shift operation, including planning operations, assigning work, instructing, performing personnel activities (reviews, hiring, dismissal, disciplinary measures), and assisting in employee growth.Maintain appropriate personnel levels for an efficient workforce in a union environment.Manage performance of facility-related contract service suppliers and coordinate competitive bids with Facilities Manager.Oversee and direct machinery installations, movement, building remodeling, new construction, and property security measures with Facilities Manager.Ensure facility opening, closing, and securing on weekends, holidays, and plant shutdowns as directed.Education and Experience:
Associates Degree in Mechanical engineering, Electrical engineering, Industrial engineering, or related field required; Certified Journeyman Maintenance Technician preferred
7+ years of related experience desired
Qualifications:
Advanced knowledge of Preventative and Predictive maintenance techniques required
Proven experience in project management
Advanced knowledge of automated facility related functions including maintenance and operation of HVAC equipment, machinery repair and maintenance, custodial services, and plant safety acquired through formal technical training and work experience
Advanced knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and issues required
