Job Title: Maintenance Manager - BGIS
Location: Wantirna, VIC
BGIS is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Manager to join our team at Wantirna, VIC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facility maintenance and management, with a focus on healthcare environments. As the Maintenance Manager, you will oversee the efficient operation of the hospital’s mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other building systems. You will ensure that all maintenance activities comply with health and safety standards while minimizing disruption to hospital operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of maintenance staff to ensure effective and efficient building operations.
Coordinate and schedule preventive maintenance tasks for hospital equipment, systems, and infrastructure.
Manage corrective maintenance activities to address any operational issues in a timely manner.
Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and regulatory standards for hospital operations.
Develop and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and service logs.
Collaborate with hospital leadership to support building improvement projects and facility upgrades.
Provide technical guidance and training to maintenance staff, ensuring high standards of performance.
Act as a point of contact for vendors, contractors, and external service providers.
Respond to emergency maintenance issues as required, ensuring minimal disruption to hospital services.
Continuously evaluate and improve processes to optimize operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Facility Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities maintenance, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
Experience in a healthcare or hospital environment is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and safety systems.
Proven leadership and team management skills.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
