JOB SUMMARY:

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the operational success by effectively managing the district maintenance team, the annual operating budget, maintaining positive relations with customers, contractors, and employees while ensuring all corporate policies, programs and procedures are followed

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage Technical Service Department to maximize equipment uptime while minimizing costs to Nabors and external customers.Analyze key service delivery areas for improvement with intention of developing and implement a structured and sustainable maintenance improvement plan.Develop and implement programs that reduce unplanned downtime and deliver predictive analytics on key equipment.Ensure highest levels of safety are in place within Technical Service department. Manage district NDUSA Technicians and district level SLA agreement with drilling. Ensure maintenance system and Microsoft Dynamics is utilized to drive planned maintenance, record unplanned maintenance activities while tracking key maintenance performance measuresPrepare annual budget and quarterly estimates for maintenance expenses. Manage maintenance expenses within budget. Works with corporate Maintenance Managers to manage equipment recertifications.Manage the district workshop and all repair activities for Nabors and NDS equipmentManages the work activities of department personnel to achieve maximum quality and productivity of the departmentMaintains staff by recruiting, selecting, and training employeesMaintains job results through coaching, counseling, and disciplining employeesResolves personnel issues to include hiring, counseling, discipline, pay, benefits, and terminationDevelops and controls departmental Opex and Capex budget along with developing Capex justification with minimal assistanceInterfaces with vendors, sales, project management and engineering personnel to resolve equipment problems and improve quality of productsMaintains a safe, secure, and productive working environment for department personnelManages preventative maintenance of all equipment within the department and insures effective use of company resources such as utilities, tools, consumables, and other suppliesManages is responsible for the care of all assets withing the maintenance department including service vehicles, technician tools, spare parts, and consumables. Manages and develops plans for the efficient use of equipment, materials and personnel. Ensures policies and procedures are implemented in accordance with established guidelines and compliance standards are metAssumes overall responsibility for District PL/budget, safety, and personnel.Reviews maintenance spend and develops ways to reduce or manage internal and external spend.Selects, trains, coaches and develops district employees. Creates and upholds a work environment that encourages employee morale.
