The Aviation Department which operates the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and the North Perry Airport is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Maintenance Manager for the Aviation Maintenance Division. This position will supervise the Skilled Trades Supervisors and Maintenance Crew Supervisor to ensure effective implementation of the airports' maintenance program, which includes maintaining the airport terminals, runways, roadways, and systems in accordance with FAA regulations and County policies and procedures in a 24/7 environment.
Responsibilities include decision-making with regard to schedules, project coordination, hiring, and disciplinary action. The employee must be able to work in various locations/environments including offices, warehouses, airport terminals, and on the airfield.
Aviation Department Maintenance Division Staff are all essential positions. At any given time, staff may be required to be on the Airfield, in the Terminals, or in a work environment in which conditions may expose them to weather, humid conditions; smoke, fumes or dust; tight or confined spaces; hazardous materials; or shaking, rocking and or vibrating equipment, loud noise, stairs and ramps, and large moving equipment.
