What you will be doing

As the Maintenance Manager at our milk production facility, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our plant. You’ll oversee all maintenance activities, manage a skilled team of technicians, and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime. As the Maintenance Manager at our milk production facility, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance department, ensuring all equipment operates efficiently and effectively. You will lead your team in implementing maintenance strategies, troubleshooting issues, and enhancing equipment performance while fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement. 

 

Main responsibilities 

Lead, mentor, and develop the maintenance team to ensure optimal performance.  

Oversee and implement preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime.  

Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and technical issues to minimize production downtime. 

Coordinate and schedule repairs and maintenance with production to ensure minimal disruption.  

Manage the maintenance budget, including ordering parts, equipment, and supplies as needed.  

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.  

Analyze equipment performance and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency.  

Develop and implement strategies for equipment upgrades and the introduction of new technologies.  

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment history.  

Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to support continuous improvement initiatives. 

 

What we are searching for: 

Bachelor's degree in engineering, industrial maintenance, or related field (preferred), or equivalent experience. 

Proven experience as a maintenance manager in a food production or manufacturing environment, ideally in ice cream or dairy.  

Strong mechanical, electrical, and technical troubleshooting skills.  

Experience with preventive maintenance programs and systems optimization.  

Excellent leadership and team management skills.  

Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving abilities.  

Ability to manage budgets and ensure cost-effective maintenance operations.  

Knowledge of safety regulations, food safety, and sanitation requirements. 

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.  

Flexibility to be on-call or available for emergency maintenance as needed.
