Job Description: 

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing all plant equipment assigned. In-depth knowledge of all plant machinery operations is required. Mechanics must be knowledgeable of industrial electricity (all phases and voltages), mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic operations, troubleshooting techniques, blueprint, schematic analysis and proper use of tools and diagnostic equipment. Mechanics have the responsibility for identifying equipment deficiencies which affect quality control, wear and tear and excess costs. Mechanics must demonstrate proper documentation and housekeeping practices to insure quality maintenance is being performed and communicated. 

 

Wage: $35.00+/hr Based on Experience, Skills and Education

(+$3.50/hr Differential for Night Shift)

 

Work Schedule: 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am, same 2-week schedule
1st Week - Mon, Thurs, Fri
2nd Week - Tues, Wed, Sat, Sun
Bi-weekly Pay of 84hrs (includes 14hrs of OT pay)

Responsibilities

 

Firm knowledge of PLCs and A/C a plusWork in a professional manner with other maintenance personnel as needed to keep all equipment in top working order resulting in only quality product being released to the customer.Troubleshoot, remove and replace different types of electronic, electromechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and optic systems.Pre-inspect parts or equipment to be repaired to determine what parts, supplies, forms, tools, tool repair and shop equipment are required; and communicate with Maintenance Manager.Read programmable controller information to diagnose complex problems.Diagnose and repair AC and DC motor controls.Replace belts, pulleys, cables, chains, bearings, gears and related equipment.Communicate with other plant personnel when requested to, to review deficiencies.Accurately log all work performed.Maintain work areas in a clean orderly manner.Operate a forklift safely and efficiently.Be thoroughly familiar with plant lockout/tag-out procedures, electrical safety, hazard communication program, personal protective equipment and other safety programs and apply these procedures when working on equipment.Other duties and/or jobs as assigned. Qualifications Previous experience with injection molding machines is a plusKnowledge of electronic, electromechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and optic systemsPrevious maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment is a plusAbility to lift average weighted materials, up to 50 lbs, occasionallyAbility to stand for long periods of time, bend, squat, kneel and climb frequently
