Your Role at KIK
As a Maintenance Mechanic, your primary focus will be to perform preventative maintenance to the equipment including safety inspections, diagnose and repair, and ordering parts. In addition, you will be required to provide quick and innovative solutions for mechanic equipment breakdowns with customer customer-oriented manner.
What You’ll Be Doing
Modify, repair, install, maintain, improve, and troubleshoot various types of machinery, equipment, and facilities in the processing & packaging departments Diagnose mechanical problems, and provide quick & innovative solutions for mechanical equipment breakdowns by applying proven skills in the principles of mechanics, fitting, plumbing, basic welding, metal fabrication, machining, troubleshooting, and analytical problem-solving Operate a mill, lathe, drill press, grinder, saws, and all other machine shop tools Setup, takedown, and relocation of Process and Packaging equipment Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspection Diagnose and repair electrical problems to include process instrumentation/control systems, 120-480 volt systems, variable speed drives, and PLC related issues (primarily Allen Bradley but some Siemens systems may also be included) Independently identify and repair equipment issues within assigned areas with minimal supervision. (ordering of parts through maintenance planner or supervisor and planning/scheduling of identified work on down daysWhat You’ll Bring
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) Minimum 4 years of mechanical experience in a high-speed packaging and/or manufacturing environment (food industry is highly preferred) Must be able to push, pull, and carry up to 45lbs. additionally, you may be required to perform repetitive motions, sitting standing, and bending at the waist. Must be comfortable working in non-temperature and temperature-controlled environments. Must be comfortable wearing a full-face respirator as necessary. Possess strong oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills. Good knowledge of preventative maintenance programs Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with lots of changes Excellent knowledge of Health & Safety and Lockout Procedures Working knowledge of computerized maintenance management software is an asset Must pay attention to details with a customer service attitude. Strong team player with excellent problem-solving skills.What You Will Get

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. This position has a base salary range of $25.00 – 38.00 plus eligibility for a quarterly incentive bonus. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location
