**Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Mechanic**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing equipment and processes related to the manufacturing of medical devices. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems, as well as the ability to perform preventative maintenance and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
**Responsibilities**
+ Install equipment and processes using sketches, drawings, and prints.
+ Maintain PM performance and KPI for Maintenance through maintenance software.
+ Perform water treatment and monitor discharge of waste to the sewer system, documenting activities to meet federal and state compliance regulations.
+ Maintain and clean systems and equipment as required.
+ Keep the working area according to the Six S program.
+ Perform minor and major repairs to the building, systems, and equipment, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, boiler systems, and grounds maintenance.
+ Perform preventative maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment.
+ Maintain inventories and order materials as needed.
+ Safely work with a wide variety of precision hand and power tools related to field and shop work.
+ Assist with industrial hygiene studies related to employee safety, such as hearing conservation and ventilation studies.
+ Complete in-house calibration, maintain logs, and record data as it relates to GMP, ISO, FDA, OSHA, EPA, DEP, and other regulatory agencies.
+ Perform other related duties as assigned or required.
+ Maintain mechanical and electrical systems, troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
+ Read and understand diagrams, blueprints, equipment manuals, and other materials used in the maintenance function.
+ Work with a wide variety of precision tools such as veneer calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, levels, gauge blocks, and optical and laser alignment tooling.
+ Fabricate basic parts using hand tools and power machine tools such as drill presses, milling machines, grinders, and lathes.
+ Design control systems and build control panels for specialty equipment used in the manufacturing process.
+ Demonstrate basic welding knowledge and skills, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical control circuits for motors, and electrical control devices for production equipment and systems.
+ Troubleshoot PLC (programmable logic controller) software and hardware, making recommendations and performing software changes.
+ Work from prints, diagrams, specifications, and instructions covering emergency and scheduled repairs, understanding 'ladder logic'.
+ Install, maintain, repair, overhaul, calibrate, and test a wide variety of instrumentation for improved reliability and uptime.
+ Read, interpret, and perform wiring tasks according to specifications and schematics for the installation and repair of equipment.
**Essential Skills**
+ Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including PLCs and hardwiring.
+ Proficiency with mechanical systems, including pneumatics, hydraulics, bearings, valves, and motor pumps.
+ Experience with facilities maintenance, including compressors, HVAC, PHC, waste/water systems, and RO (reverse osmosis) cooling systems.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with small structure fabrication.
+ Proficiency with CMS programs and the ability to open and close work orders.
+ Experience with chillers and basic plumbing tasks.
+ Knowledge of molding processes.

**Work Environment**
Our facility is incredibly clean and spacious, with well-equipped break rooms for lunch. You will have access to a variety of tools and equipment, including hand tools, machinist tools, meters, gauges, precision measuring instruments, electrical test equipment, milling machines, grinders, lathes, burning torches, welding machines, and instruments used for monitoring employee health and safety.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Permanent position based out of Wheeling, Illinois.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $91520.00/yr.
