THIRD SHIFT
Third shift = 11pm-7am8-hour shifts, Monday - FridayOccasional OT required to meet production demandsPOSITION SUMMARY
Perform duties to maintain and repair a variety of production and plant facility equipment. Work closely with production personnel on equipment repairs.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the implementation of safety protocols and ensure compliance with all safety regulationConduct routine Preventive Maintenance and inspection on manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdownsDiagnose and troubleshoot Mechanical, Electrical and Pneumatic issues with Extrusion, Press, and Grinding EquipmentAbility to read electrical, mechanical and pneumatics schematicsPerform repairs and replacement of faulty components to keep machine operating efficientlyParticipate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiencyMust be able to document work request, work orders, and machinery failures for machines and equipment using computer maintenance management system (CMMS)Possess the knowledge and understanding of Industrial electrical wiring and 3 phase systems up to 480 VoltsPossess the knowledge and understanding of process controlsKnowledgeable of A/C and D/C motors and controlsUnderstands PLC process controlsMaintains chiller systemMaintain plant air supply systemOther duties may include janitorial, plumbing, pipefitting, painting, security, carpentryPerform other duties as assigned.WORKING CONDITIONS

Good speaking, hearing and vision abilityExcellent manual dexterityAbility to lift and carry, on average, 25 to 60 pounds up to 3 hours a shiftWork is performed in a typical manufacturing environment. Facility will have noticeable seasonal temperature fluctuations.Position may require overtime work at the discretion of management to meet customer and production requirements.Temperature Controlled facility.PPE required: Safety glasses, Earplugs, Safety-toed shoes, and Safety gloves.SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
Possess the knowledge of lock out, tag out (LOTO)Safety is our utmost priority, and all employees are expected to follow safety guidelines and proceduresUse the correct personal protected equipment (PPE) while performing maintenance tasksParticipate in safety training programs and follow safe work practices at all timesReport any safety concerns or incidents promptly by filling out safety catch formsMaintains clean and orderly workplace/equipmentQUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED required. Technical or vocational training in maintenance related fields is preferredProven experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing or industrial settingStrong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systemsProficient in reading technical manuals, schematics, and diagramsExperience with PLCs and other manufacturing control system is an advantageExcellent time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks efficientlyPossess problem solving skills and abilities to work well under pressurePrevious experience as a lead technician or desire to develop into lead or supervisor is preferredKnowledge of Extrusion and Press machines and its functions are preferred5 years of industrial manufacturing experienceMust be highly motivated and able to work independentlyExperience in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical systemsITW is an equal opportunity employer. Compensation Information:
The salary range for this position is $28 - $32 per hour. The pay rate for a successful candidate will depend on the geographic location, this salary range is for successful candidates in the Chicago, Illinois metro area. The specific hiring rate within the posted pay range will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications and prior experience.
