Maintenance Mechanic (4x10 shift: Wed - Sat, 10hrs)
The Position

This position is part of Genentech’s’ Hillsboro Innovative Therapy Team (HIT) team based in Hillsboro, Oregon. HIT is a next generation cell and gene therapy facility with multiple technologies for delivering innovative therapies.

The Opportunity

The work shift for this position will be 4 days (Wednesday - Saturday) x 10hrs.

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will execute the maintenance and calibrations for utility, building, production, and QC systems intended to produce medicine on a per patient or batch basis.  You will work with technical experts for plant systems, drive problem elimination, provide analysis/optimization of system performance, and participate in asset lifecycle activities. Also, you will be:

Performing maintenance, calibration, and support installation systems, subsystems, and equipment for facility, utility, and process equipment supporting all departments at HIT. Updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), technical documents, training materials, and request master data as required. Complying with Good Documentation Practices, current Good Manufacturing Practices, and other compliance-related items. Initiating changes, working in discrepancies and other issues as they arise through working knowledge of the Predictive Maintenance philosophy.Interfacing, collaborating, and supporting various groups and organizations within Roche/Genentech as well as external OEMs, vendors, service providers, and business partners to: develop and implement safe work practices, perform field and contract supervision of contractors involved with maintenance and repair of facilities equipment and systems.Preparing technical reports, revision of technical documents and procedures.

Who you are

High School diploma or equivalent. College degree, engineering degree, technical degree, certificate, or coursework a plus2-4 years minimum experience in a pharmaceutical/biotech, industrial / manufacturing maintenance/operation environment

HVAC operation, Utility operation, and natural refrigerant system operation are highly desired skills. Utility and Process Equipment maintenance and calibration are highly desired skillsUnderstanding of biopharmaceutical manufacturing, process equipment, and supporting utility systems, experience with cell therapy manufacturing and personalized health care environment is preferredAbility to read and Understand P&LDs, and work from Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and common office applications.Demonstrated ability to apply experience and hands-on mechanical skills to investigate system deficienciesAbility to provide technical leadership and teamwork in a cGMP environment across functional and organizational boundaries. Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills

The expected salary range for this position based in Oregon is 52,700 - 97,900 USD annually.  Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.  This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
