**Maintenance Mechanic** Currently hiring a Maintenance Mechanic in the Hammond, IN area. Hiring immediately. **Job Description** + Repair and maintain industrial machinery including conveyors, shrink wrappers, stackers, ovens, sorters, power transmission, and palletizers. + Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems. + Perform MIG and Stick welding on steel material. + Conduct basic electrical tasks including swapping out AC/DC motors and working with 480V. + Work around and understand PLCs. + Interpret blueprints and diagrams. + Realign, replace, and adjust mechanical components including belts, bearings, chains, couplings, shafts, sprockets, valves, cylinders, and gearboxes. + Cut, thread, and install new pipe. + Follow lockout/tagout procedures. **Essential Skills** + High School Diploma. + Experience troubleshooting and performing preventive maintenance on production equipment. + Knowledge of hydraulics. + Proficiency in MIG and Stick welding. + Ability to lift 50+ pounds. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Apprenticeship or certified training preferred. + Familiarity with blueprints and diagrams. + Experience with mechanical realignment and adjustments. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $73923.20 - $73923.20/yr.
