Job Summary:
Directly responsible for inspecting, repairing, installing and servicing of stationary and mobile equipment, uses micrometer, dial indicators, burning and welding equipment and a broad assortment of tools to maintain equipment for production of quality products, observes and monitors the equipment and reports any conditions that could lead to product nonconformity or other irregularity, equipment problems identified are reported to the Maintenance Supervisor and/or other appropriate personnel, maintains service records, interprets manuals and blue prints, repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical electrical equipment, such as motors, cables, pumps, conveyors, belts, fans, etc., examines mechanical equipment to diagnose trouble, disassembles machines and repairs or replaces broken parts, adjusts functional parts of mechanical devices as necessary, cleans and lubricates parts, orders replacement parts, inspects repairs, performs work in accordance with safety procedures.
Qualified candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED; 5+ years of mechanical experience in an industrial manufacturing environment; willing and able to work rotating shifts
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved, written or oral instructions.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop; kneel; crouch or crawl.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and may occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts; in high, precarious places; in outside weather conditions
