Title:  Maintenance Mechanic  
Location:  West Caldwell, NJ
Schedule:  M-F 1st Shift Full Time (Overtime is required during shutdowns, emergency situations or periods of  heavy workloads. This includes staying after shift hours, weekends and also being on call)

Responsibilities: Ability to Gown for Manufacturing   Abide by all cGMP, FDA and DEA regulatory standards Executes maintenance tasks from written procedures or instructions.  Executes work Instructions for Preventative Maintenance for new or existing equipment utilizing manufacturer's data, experience or assessments. Perform preventive maintenance procedures on a variety of specialized pharmaceutical manufacturing and general mechanical equipment and utilities. Provides repair, fabrication, and general labor services throughout all areas.  Provides training within specific skill set(s), to staff for the purpose of ensuring a broad base of knowledge within the group. Documents all work performed per the appropriate documentation system. Conducts investigations for quality systems as assigned. Must be able to work in a controlled environment, including wearing gowning, personal protective equipment (safety shoes, hearing protection, and safety glasses) Must be able to read, speak and write English at a sufficient level to communicate technical and business information effectively Ability to acquire skills in the care and use of tools, materials and equipment used in maintenance and repair Analyze mechanical and operational problems on assigned equipment, plans for and takes corrective action. Make necessary corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum and quality. Ability to read and work from prints and schematics. Requirements: High School graduate or equivalent 5+ years experience in Maintenance Basic reading, writing, math, computer and verbal skills Able to wear safety glasses, hearing protection, full face/half mask respirator, latex gloves, Tyvek suit and other safety equipment as needed Advanced use of tools and equipment Must maintain good manual dexterity  Overtime is required during shutdowns, emergency situations or periods of  heavy workloads.
