Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain, troubleshoot and repair all conveyor, sortation and related material handling equipmentEnsure proper, safe and efficient mechanical/electrical operations within the Distribution Center  Install new or modify existing equipment or systems, and as necessary designs, fabricates and installs specialized equipmentRepair and maintain machinery, mechanical and/or electrical equipment to include motors, pumps, conveyers, hydraulics, electro-mechanical control systems, power equipment, safety devices, or other specialized equipmentExamine parts and equipment to diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform repairs or installations in accordance with established safety procedures  Inspect completed repairs or installationsRecommend and implement improvements to equipment, operations and proceduresMay contact vendors for service or partsAssist or guide other maintenance associates in preventative maintenance of equipment and/or safety procedures

 

Knowledge and Experience:

High School diploma or equivalent plus vocational training in a related technical fieldState Licensure or proven knowledge and experience in one or more areas (Electrical, Welding, HVAC, Plumbing, etc.Two to three years of experience in industrial maintenance field with demonstrated preventative maintenance experience in material handling systems  Proven proficiency in one or more of the following areas; electrical/electronics, welding/fabrication, HVAC/refrigeration, plumbing, electrohydraulics, mechanical and electrical drive systemsWillingness to work various shifts to meet business needs

 

This position has a starting pay range of $21.00 to $24.50 per hour.  Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
