About the role

Reworld is seeking to add a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to our Avon Lake team.

The Maintenance Mechanic will perform the maintenance and repair of small equipment, company vehicles, forklifts, power washers and other mechanical machinery. The ideal candidate should possess excellent mechanical repair skills, be familiar with preventive maintenance programs, and have the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues effectively.

Main Responsibilities:

Provides maintenance and repair of company vehicles, forklifts, power washers and other mechanical equipment.

Tests equipment to ensure repairs are completed properly

Maintains an inventory of parts and supplies to perform duties

Ordering parts and supplies.

Maintain and follow the vehicle preventative maintenance program for all repairs

Work with drivers to identify and diagnose issues with equipment

Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

High school diploma or GED preferred OR minimum 5 years proven working experience

Reworld offers GED Works – a fully funded program for employees to achieve their GED.

Vocational training or skilled trades

Must bring own tools

Be able to pass a Respirator Fit Test (RFT)/Pulmonary Function Test (PFT)

Abide by respirator fit policy

Be able to pass safety training courses as assigned

Excellent verbal, written and mechanical repair skills

Ability to use hand and power tools to repair forklift and other small equipment

Analytical and problem solving skills

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk, see or hear

May be subject to heat and cold stress environmental, both inside and outside

May be exposed to noise, moving mechanical parts and moving vehicles

Climb stairs, scaffolding and work at heights
