Maintenance Mechanic

Volt is immediately hiring a 3rd Shift Maintenance Mechanic in Pomona, CA

\r\n\r\n

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tPerforms scheduled preventive maintenance machine servicing emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production.\r\n\tUses trade knowledge and skillset to troubleshoot equipment and facility based maintenance issues using a range of skills including but not limited to: mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic. Recognize mechanical defects in equipment using touch, sight and sound and repair equipment in accordance with established GMP and safety procedures, and conforming to requirements of local building and safety codes.\r\n\tCompetently utilize standard mechanics tools. Proficiently use calipers, feeler gauges and micrometers.\r\n\tProvides quality customer service to external and internal customers while using a personable customer service attitude.\r\n\tMaintains radio contact with planner scheduler, supervisor and maintenance department personnel using supplied radios. Answers radio calls as required. Maintains radio etiquette at all times.\r\n\tIs proactive in walking the facility and evaluating equipment health on a daily basis. Reports any problems found that need corrective action taken, and ensures a work order is raised to repair as required.\r\n\tSafely operates shop tools and equipment as required to make repairs and/or fabricate simple parts.\r\n\tReceives work orders from the Maintenance Planner, Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Manager.\r\n\tEvaluates the job requested on the work order. Gathers all parts and tools required to complete the work. If parts are not available, works with the Maintenance team to acquire the parts, tools, or supplies.\r\n\tCompletes work as requested. Communicates to the Maintenance Planner, Maintenance Supervisor and/or Maintenance Manager as required when work is complete.\r\n\tFills out, signs and dates and returns completed work orders to the Maintenance Planner promptly.\r\n\tAdhere to the concept of team, aligning to and supporting the company’s goals and sharing knowledge.\r\n\tCompliance to GMP, Food Safety, Food Defense and Food Quality regulations as required by the company, customers and/or government legislations, including timely communication to appropriate facility management of any non-conformity issues or violations found\r\n\tCompliance to all employee job safety requirements and regulations as required by company policies, including timely communication to appropriate facility management of any non-conformity issues or violations found\r\n\r\n\r\n

This is a Full-Time, Direct Hire opportunity.

\r\n\r\n

The ideal candidate will have:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tHigh School diploma or GED or equivalent relevant experience and education; three (3) or more years’ experience in repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting in a food manufacturing environment.\r\n\tStrong mechanical skills as well of knowledge working with electrical components and wiring.\r\n\tBasic math and reading skills required.\r\n\r\n\r\n

Pay Rate: $28.00-$35.00 hour

3rd shift position

\r\n\r\n
