Maintenance Mechanic
**Job Summary:** The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment and systems within a food and beverage manufacturing facility. This role ensures that all machinery operates efficiently and safely, minimizing downtime and maintaining product quality. A key focus of this position is on strong hydraulic and pneumatic system knowledge. **Key Responsibilities:** + Perform routine maintenance on production equipment, with a strong emphasis on hydraulic and pneumatic systems. + Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions, particularly those related to hydraulic and pneumatic components, to minimize production downtime. + Conduct preventive maintenance tasks according to schedules and manufacturer specifications, focusing on hydraulic and pneumatic systems. + Inspect and test machinery and equipment to diagnose issues and ensure proper operation, with a special focus on hydraulic and pneumatic systems. + Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory. + Collaborate with production and quality control teams to address equipment-related issues. + Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards, particularly those specific to the food and beverage industry. + Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment, especially those involving hydraulic and pneumatic systems. + Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency. + Provide training and support to production staff on equipment operation and maintenance procedures, with an emphasis on hydraulic and pneumatic systems. **Qualifications:** + High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance or a related field preferred. + Previous experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in the food and beverage industry. + Strong knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems is essential. + Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment. + Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics. + Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. + Good communication and interpersonal skills. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team. + Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting and moving heavy objects. **About Aerotek:** We know that finding work is hard, and finding meaningful work is harder.
