Summary:
The basic function of this role includes: repair and maintain underground mobile equipment and mining infrastructure. This role will also be responsible for installation, repair and maintenance of mine and surface fixed plant assets.
Duties and Responsibilities: include but are not limited to the following: (Management reserves the right to add or modify the duties and responsibilities at any time.)
Properly lubricates assigned plant/shop equipment as per routine schedule.Provides a basic assessment of general equipment condition and reports perceived problems to the proper authority.Performs cutting of plate, bolts, etc., through proper use of cutting torch, and basic welding as requiredAbility to read, analyze and interpret job related information; reading schematics: hydraulic, electrical and parts manualAbility to communicate issues clearly and conciselyDemonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; Looks for ways to improve and promote quality; Monitors own work to ensure quality.Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mobile mining equipment in an underground salt mine; Caterpillar, Komatsu, John Deere, Genie, Joy, Oldenburg, Fletcher equipment, etc.Repair and maintain stationary equipment: conveyor systems, crushers, feeders, screens and other mine infrastructureProperly identify and demonstrate the basic use of common mechanical shop tools and equipment.We invite you to Explore the Potential of being part of something Clearly Essential

Basic knowledge of mobile electrical principles and lighting with the ability to apply this knowledge in identifying, troubleshooting and resolving issues.
Basic knowledge of hydraulic hose parts and uses with the ability to build and install hydraulic hoses on mobile equipment or fixed assets requiring hydraulic hosing. Can identify damaged hoses or hose fittings.
Basic knowledge of heavy industrial equipment. Can demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot, repair and service this equipment.
Basic knowledge of rotating equipment. Can demonstrate the ability to service these items.
Basic knowledge and experience in welding and fabrication of structures and chute work
Basic knowledge and experience in repairing and maintaining stationary equipment: Conveyor systems, crushers, feeders, screens and other mine infrastructure
Ability to comply with company and MSHA rules and regulations
Ability to work in team environments
Knowledge and experience in repair and maintenance of diesel equipment
Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Applications; ability to learn new software programs.
