**Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Mechanic**
**Job Description**
As an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, your chief responsibility will be to preserve the excellent condition and functionality of our business premises. Your duties will include conducting quality assessments, scheduling repairs, maintaining inventory, and developing preventative maintenance procedures. Our ideal candidate will be a jack-of-all-trades, with in-depth knowledge of maintenance procedures, hydraulic systems, and basic tools and appliances. To excel in this position, you must be an outstanding problem-solver with exceptional communication and organizational skills.
**Responsibilities**
+ Conduct quality assessments of machinery and equipment.
+ Schedule and perform repairs as needed.
+ Maintain inventory of parts and supplies.
+ Develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures.
+ Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
+ Ensure compliance with GMPs, OSHA, FDA, and safety guidelines.
+ Operate forklift and scissor lift safely.
+ Perform cleaning and degreasing of equipment.
+ Handle electrical systems from 24 volts to 480 volts safely.
+ Install and move chain drive sprockets.
+ Perform hot-work permit requirements.
+ Utilize electrical testing equipment and tools.
+ Work both independently and as part of a team.
+ Adapt to a fast-paced environment and be cross-trained for multiple positions.
**Essential Skills**
+ In-depth knowledge of maintenance procedures.
+ Experience with hydraulic systems and basic tools.
+ Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical systems.
+ Knowledge of GMPs, OSHA, FDA, and safety guidelines.
+ Ability to perform preventive maintenance.
+ Excellent problem-solving skills.
+ Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
+ 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
+ Basic mechanical skills.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Willingness and flexibility to work in a cold environment.
+ Forklift and scissor lift safety knowledge.
+ Experience with cleaning and degreasing techniques.
+ Knowledge of hot-work permit requirements.
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.

**Work Environment**
The work environment is very cold, with temperatures maintained at 32 degrees at all times due to food production requirements.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jackson, Georgia.
