Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Sumas, WA                     Type: Full Time                 Department: Maintenance

WHEN YOU JOIN US, YOU WILL BE;

Learning the processes of how roofing shingles are made and all the steps that go into it.Learning about site specific equipment and how it should properly function.Maintaining smooth operation of machinery and mechanical equipmentTroubleshooting specific industrial equipment by using precise measuring and testing instrumentsDismantling and reassembling of equipment using hand and power tools.Inspecting and assessing wear and remaining useful life of various power transmission componentsUtilizing Maximo, a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with Company’s procedures, rules, and regulations.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE;

Proven experience working in and maintaining a safe work environment with intimate knowledge of LOTO procedures or other relevant safety practices3 years maintenance experience in manufacturing environmentMillwright skills, welding and machining experience preferredExcellent working knowledge of appropriate use of hand tools and maintenance equipmentAbility to read and understand detailed repair & instruction manualsMust be able to work with computer-based maintenance softwareMust supply own hand tools appropriate to the equipment and environment
