Maintenance Mechanic
**Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic** **Job Description** As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will perform a variety of electrical trade functions including the installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment such as slotter machines, conveyors, pulp machines, and CNC machines. You will be responsible for hooking up electrical wires, rewiring machines, performing checks and balances, replacing and repairing components, and calibrating various systems to ensure proper functioning. **Responsibilities** + Install, maintain, and repair equipment including slotter machines, conveyors, pulp machines, and CNC machines. + Hook up electrical wires to machines and rewire machines according to specifications. + Perform checks and balances on machines to ensure the proper functioning of the wiring system. + Replace, repair, and calibrate various machine components on a routine basis. + Inspect, test, and adjust all systems, machinery, and equipment regularly. + Record inspections, tests, and repairs on preventive maintenance stickers. + Respond to safety and security calls regarding machinery based on verbal or written instructions. + Plan and layout work from blueprints, diagrams, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications. + Disassemble equipment using hand tools and power tools as required. + Inspect damaged parts, determine the nature of repairs, and use repair tools to rework or refinish worn or damaged parts. + Install special functional and structural parts and equipment. + Reassemble equipment and test performance as needed. + Set up new machines to the wiring system as needed. + Record written recommendations on repair work needed. + Perform other related duties as assigned. **Essential Skills** + Experience with pneumatics/air compression (e.g., valves, cylinders, etc.) + Experience with hydraulics/liquid compression + Experience with basic electrical systems (e.g., starters, fuses, contacts, relays) + Experience with mechanical systems (e.g., gearboxes, chains, sprockets, motors, seals, bearings, etc.) + Experience with good manufacturing procedures (safety, national standards such as lock out/tag out) + Ability to work independently with minimal supervision + Consistent positive attitude and reliability + Basic tool kit **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Automotive experience or mechanical aptitude + Experience in working on cars and a passion for the industry + Fabricator mechanic experience and the ability to rebuild parts + Military **Why Work Here?** We offer a comprehensive benefits package including health, medical, dental, 401K eligibility, disability, and company-paid life insurance. While it can get loud, we prioritize your safety and comfort. The role involves working in our corporate location with approximately 380 employees.
