**Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic** **Job Description** The Maintenance Mechanic will oversee the performance and maintenance of large production machinery. **Responsibilities** + Perform preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines. + Thoroughly clean machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary. + Record and report damaged, worn, or broken parts. + Order and install replacement parts for machines. + Identify the cause of unexpected breakdowns of machines. + Repair broken machines quickly and efficiently. + Troubleshoot, identify, fix, and rebuild broken packaging and food processing equipment, building structures, and auxiliary systems (electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic), and report findings to the team. + Install, service, maintain, modernize, and modify machinery and processing apparatus. + Perform other duties as assigned. **Essential Skills** + Maintenance + Mechanic + Troubleshooting + Maintenance technician + Repair **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High School degree; some college preferred. + 2+ years' work experience in a manufacturing setting. + Database management skills. + Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. + Working knowledge of plant equipment and parts is a plus. + May be required to work long hours and weekends. **Why Work Here?** We are Nature-to-Plate food experts with over 100 years of industry experience. The work schedule is Monday through Friday. The role requires experience with multivac machines, bizerbas, and a production maintenance background. Mechanics are responsible for usual maintenance on machines, such as changing gears and belts, and performing preventative maintenance.
