\nTheMaintenance Mechanicis responsible for the maintenance and repair of material handling equipment (MHE) and all associated equipment within the distribution center. This is a posting starting on 3rd shift Sunday evening, and finishing on Friday morning.
\n\nKey Responsibilities:
\n\nBe able to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on assigned equipment (hydraulic dock levelers, Vertical Lift Modules, tray erectors, lidding machines, conveyors, scales, scanners, cameras, variable frequency drives, etc).\nThis position requires excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.\nKnowledge of coding/PLCs is a plus.\nMust be proficient in reading and comprehending electrical connection diagrams and schematics.\nWill utilize hand tools, electrical testing equipment, and computers in the performance of duties.\nWill occasionally be required to operate dock trucks, reach trucks, stock pickers, scissor lifts, and boom lifts.\nWill be required to wear applicable personal protective equipment (including arc flash protection gear), and follow rules and regulations related to a detailed lockout/tagout (LOTO) program.\nMust be detail oriented and a self-starter with a positive attitude.\nKnowledge of plumbing, fabrication, refrigeration, etc. technical skills are a plus.\nGeneral knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is a plus.\nWorking knowledge of a (CMMS) computerized maintenance management systems (specifically Maximo) is a plus.\nThis position will also require the ability to complete job specific tasks associated with facilities maintenance such as maintaining dock doors/levelers, freezer doors, high speed overhead doors, mechanical repairs to AC and DC conveyors, sorters, diverters, transfers, robot maintenance and troubleshooting, lighting/lighting controls, fire protection systems, generators, etc…\n\n\nSkills & Qualifications:
\n\nWill be required to wear safety toe boots at all times.\nWill be required to make repairs, complete projects, etc. Will complete documentation in Maximo work orders and pass down events from each shift to the following shifts.\nSpecific skills pertaining to diesel engine mechanics, metal fabrication, welding, torches, rigging, etc. is a plus.\n\nPhysical Requirements:
\n\nMust be able to climb stairs and ladders, frequently at times.\nMust be able to lift up to 70lbs regularly.\nMust be able to work in hot and cold environments to include inclement weather.\nMust be able to stand for long durations.\n\n

Role Purpose:
Maintain and repair the warehouse vehicles including all forklift, trailers, conveyors and power equipment. Provide mechanical support, including diagnosis and solution, for a dedicated delivery system including preventative maintenance, major repairs, and accident repairs. Also responsible for the general maintenance of the building and facilities including water, heating, air conditioning, and electrical maintenance.
Key Accountabilities:
Schedule daily maintenance work.Perform all repairs on forklifts, conveyors, maintenance equipment and other warehouse power equipment.Perform preventative maintenance programs on all machines and equipment to ensure service reliability.Review pre-trip and post-trip inspection forms for immediate maintenance requirements.Ensure all maintenance work performed both internally and externally is performed to company standards.Monitor vehicle condition and performance to ensure driver compliance of company driving policies.Manage parts inventory at the most economic level for efficient operation of the system.Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area.Maintain HVAC system.Do minor maintenance as needed for water and electrical repairs.Carry out preventative maintenance programs.Perform maintenance or general carpentry on items such as floors, walls, doors, etc.Ensure all safety equipment is in proper working order.Complete required reports when maintenance tasks are completed.Answer security/alarm calls as needed.Required Education and Experience:
