**Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic** **Job Description** This non-exempt position requires keeping machinery and mechanical equipment in good repair. The role involves examining and dismantling machinery to make necessary adjustments. A formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience are required. Hours over 40 will be paid at time and a half. **Responsibilities** + Manage daily assigned routine preventative maintenance tasks on equipment and facilities. + Determine repairs needed to prevent unsafe conditions or to comply with Company and/or Agency rules and regulations. + Respond to alarm or trouble calls as required and maintain a strong floor presence. + Function as a member of the Maintenance Team and assist as necessary to accomplish production goals and throughput initiatives. + Address production stop situations and troubleshoot causes of malfunction in equipment. + Participate in implementing corrective actions to prevent re-occurrence. + Maintain good knowledge of equipment in the production area, including setup and operation. + Attend to applicable training needs to maintain consistent service to production equipment and areas of focus. + Escort and assist outside repair persons in the performance of their duties in production areas. + Maintain appropriate records of work, keep inventory of spare parts and materials. + Provide necessary information associated with parts or special materials needed to effectively perform repairs on all equipment. **Essential Skills** + Troubleshooting + Maintenance technician experience **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Formal apprenticeship or equivalent training + Flexible to meet business needs and work occasional overtime, weekend, or extended hours **Why Work Here?** Join our team and enjoy a collaborative and supportive work environment where your expertise is valued.
