A Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing installation, diagnosis, repair, and preventive maintenance for manufacturing equipment. Through proper maintenance, the technician helps to improve the overall effectiveness of equipment and meet the Business Unit goals. This role requires skills and knowledge in technical areas such as mechanical, electrical, electronic, control systems, programmable logic controls, pneumatics, and vacuum technology.
ResponsibilitiesPerform installation, diagnosis, repair, and preventive maintenance for manufacturing equipment.Improve overall effectiveness of equipment to meet Business Unit goals.Troubleshoot motor controls and PLC systems.Handle electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and plumbing tasks.Push, pull, lift, and carry up to fifty pounds regularly and maneuver in tight spaces around machinery.Communicate effectively with operators and document work.Assist in fabrication tasks including welding and cutting.Essential SkillsMinimum of five years of experience in industrial maintenance, specifically repairing machinery.Proficiency in troubleshooting motor controls and PLC systems.Experience in electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and plumbing.Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to fifty pounds regularly.Strong communication skills and ability to document work.Experience in welding and cutting is a plus.Possession of appropriate tools for industrial maintenance.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in a window or glass manufacturing company is a plus.1-2 years of lock out/tag out experience.Skill using hand/power tools.Knowledge of shop math including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division of whole numbers and fractions, and some geometry and trigonometry.Experience with PLC troubleshooting, welding, plumbing, and fabrication.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
You will be part of a team of 4, working under a maintenance manager. The day shift is from 6am-2:30pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime. Our Client has over 65 years of legacy in creating, developing, manufacturing, extruding, and distributing beautiful siding, windows, and more throughout North America.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $33.00
