Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our expanding team. This role offers a significant growth opportunity, with the potential for advancement to a supervisory position. The ideal candidate will be flexible, open to working weekends, and willing to move to a night shift after training on days. You will work alongside our unique machines, which were engineered by our CEO, to ensure they run efficiently and maintain production quality.

ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive maintenance on machines, including conveyor systems and pneumatics.Work with electrical panels and perform basic facilities maintenance.Operate and learn the unique gas-powered machines used to freeze sushi.Train on day shifts and transition to night shifts.Collaborate closely with the team to learn machine operations and maintenance procedures.Ensure compliance with food safety standards, including wearing lab coats, hair nets, and other GMPs.Work overtime as required.Essential SkillsExperience with preventive maintenance.Knowledge of conveyor systems and pneumatics.Experience with electrical panels.Basic facilities maintenance skills.Ability to work overtime.Willingness to learn and adapt to unique machinery.Additional Skills & QualificationsPackaging maintenance experience is a plus.Experience in a food manufacturing environment is beneficial but not required.Own basic tools (employer will provide tools for the first month).Ability to work in a diverse environment and communicate effectively.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

You will be working in a food manufacturing environment that is not too cold, thanks to our unique freezing machines. Compliance with food GMPs, including wearing lab coats and hair nets, is required. The facility is diverse and welcoming to individuals who speak various languages. We have a full machine shop on-site and offer a collaborative and supportive work atmosphere.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Seattle, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00
