Job Description
As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely repair of equipment to keep production running smoothly and meeting customer service expectations. You will perform tasks in a cost-effective manner, coordinating activities to ensure work is performed professionally, cleanly, neatly, and safely. You will keep supervision up to date on progress and developments.
ResponsibilitiesPerform timely repair of equipment to ensure production runs smoothly.Conduct plant maintenance, including plumbing, electrical (low & high voltage), mechanical, painting, and cleaning.Repair, maintain, and install industrial processes such as spray driers, powder blenders, pumps, distillation equipment, percolators, mixers, motors, seals, heat exchangers, material handling equipment, filling equipment, etc.Maintain mechanical processes such as exhaust fans, motors, boilers, water filtration, air compressors, hot water heaters, etc.Handle electrical processes including VFDs, PLCs, relays, starters, and low voltage controls.Focus on specific disciplines such as electrical, mechanical, pipe fitting, welding, soldering as required.Use CMMS to monitor, schedule, and document all preventative and reactive repair work orders.Prioritize maintenance work orders and ensure the maintenance program provides a proper schedule.Use BMS system to ensure HVAC & mechanical equipment runs at peak performance.Maintain boilers and comply with inspection requirements.Work on new projects, including preparing areas for new processes and equipment.Assist in the coordination of third-party contractor activities.Support and participate in Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices training.Demonstrate teamwork and a customer-focused attitude, participating in audits upon request.Essential SkillsMechanical ability to work with motors, gear boxes, conveyors, etc.Electrical experience using a wire diagram to troubleshoot machines.Experience with low and high voltage systems.Experience jumping into a control panel.Plumbing experience including soldering pipe and running PVC.Experience with pumps.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school graduate.Driver’s license.Minimum 5+ years of demonstrated mechanical work experience.Knowledge of flavor production, food processing, spray drying, extractions, and distillations is a plus.High Pressure Black Seal Boiler license is a plus.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
This is a fully on-site position in Carteret, New Jersey, within an industrial environment manufacturing flavors for the food and beverage industry. You will work in a hands-on role, dealing with mechanical and electrical processes, and ensuring equipment runs at peak performance.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $66560.00 - $83000.00
eligibility to participate in Company sponsored benefits such as health insurance and pre-tax commuter benefits will begin 1st of the month. Benefits such as flexible spending programs, life and disability insurance will begin after completion of three months of service. Initial vacation entitlement will be two weeks per year. After completing 6 months you are eligible to participate in 401k
