Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Job Description

Responsible for performing daily maintenance and repairs of production equipment in the facility to ensure all equipment is operating at full production capacity.

ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot, repair and maintain support and manufacturing equipment and machinery; including mixers, conveyors, gas fired ovens, boilers, sealers, and label printers.Work on mechanical components such as gears, drives, and conveyors.Perform electrical troubleshooting, change out drives, and adjust parameters.Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance accurately and timely.Analyze test results, error messages, and information from operators to diagnose and recommend equipment repairs.Perform lockout/tag out procedures as needed to secure equipment according to guidelines.Ensure equipment, fire, and electrical safety procedures are being adhered to during plant walkthroughs.Essential SkillsHydraulicsPneumaticsRepair3 phasePreventive MaintenanceCorrective MaintenanceEquipment MaintenanceTroubleshootingMechanical & Electrical TroubleshootingAdditional Skills & QualificationsPrevious manufacturing experience preferred; food manufacturing/production is a big plus.Experience working on conveyors and performing preventative maintenance – changing belts or adjusting belts, changing motors, greasing motors and bearings, three phase motors, 480 Volt.Maintenance technician experience.PLC troubleshooting.Fabrication.Around 3-4 years’ experience performing maintenance functions in a manufacturing facility required.Knowledge of electrical and machine control.Any prior experience with TIG welding stainless and aluminum or refrigeration and HVAC.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Kitchen: dealing with food, so you'll need to be comfortable in hot/cold environments as well as wet/dry environments. Diverse work environment and must be able to work alongside other employees/operators that speak various languages. Shifts available: 1 on day shift and 1 on either 2nd or 3rd depending on internal moves.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $29.00
