Maintenance Mechanic
Job Title: Maintenance MechanicJob DescriptionWe are seeking maintenance mechanics to join our new plant in MichiganThe maintenance mechanic will be responsible for all mechanical repairs and facility maintenance around the plant, ensuring production equipment and machinery are operating efficientlyResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment such as motors, pneumatic equipment and tools, conveyor systems, hydraulic systems, CNC equipment, spindles, pumps, compressors, and other industrial equipmentInstall or relocate production equipment including setup, leveling, plumbing air, water, coolant, hydraulic, and electrical sourcesRebuild and recondition faulty components or assemblies for later usePrepare the facility, install new equipment, and remove obsolete equipmentCoordinate work with Manufacturing Engineering and OperationsTroubleshoot production equipment in operation to locate causes of malfunction and perform repairs safelyDismantle devices to remove and repair or replace defective partsInspect defective parts to detect imperfections and determine changes in dimensional requirements to prevent reoccurrenceLocate replacement parts necessary to repair equipment including MRO crib, maintenance warehouse, and/or Tool Room for possible remanufacturing/reconditioning of part(s)Adjust production equipment to achieve functionality and minimize downtimeStart production equipment to test performanceUtilize a variety of common hand tools and power tools such as drill presses, grinders, milling machines, pipe threader, and tools to make and repair partsDemonstrate knowledge of Lock Out Tag Out proceduresInitiate purchase requisition for parts and machinesOperate forklifts, cranes, and other handling equipment and be proficient with safe rigging practicesPerform arc welding with MIG and stick machines and cutting with a torch as necessary to perform dutiesAssist electricians when needed and perform electrical duties within the individual’s ability, not limited to mechanical dutiesPerform Preventative Maintenance on time to provided scheduleEssential Skills5+ years as a maintenance tech in a fast-paced industrial settingHydraulic troubleshooting on industrial machines including motors, hoses, and air movementAssembly equipment troubleshooting, diagnosing issues to ensure continuous productionBasic MIG welding skillsBasic electrical troubleshooting including diagnosing sensors and 240V circuitsShifts

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $31.00
