Maintenance Mechanic
**Hiring for Maintenance Electrician in Charlotte, Pay up to $37/hr.** **A large manufacturing plant located in Charlotte, NC is seeking experienced Maintenance Electricians for Direct Hire placements.** Starting pay rate for Electricians will be $30-38/hr. Hours will be 6:00am-4:30pm Monday-Thursday or on a 8 days on, 6 days off schedule. **Qualified candidates must be comfortable working on large industrial equipment.** **Responsibilities** + Major electrical troubleshooting including diagnosing faults with a multimeter, reading a schematic, and hooking up motors, doing fault analysis of circuits, installing sensors, and plc cabinets. + Troubleshoot the plc system and the sensory equipment. + Following all safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe and productive environment. + Troubleshooting control panels, conveyor systems, pumps, sensors, relays, circuits, and mixing equipment. + Exercise judgement when troubleshooting AC/DC motor controls, PLC, electrical drives, and all high-voltage systems at or below 480 volts. + Work with related diagnostic equipment including digital voltmeter, paper recorder, multi-volt meter, oscilloscope, and other electronic tools and equipment. + Maintain specified records of work performed, details of repairs, and materials usage. **Essential Skills** + Troubleshooting electrical issues within the plant. + Blueprint and schematic reading. + Preventive maintenance. + PLC Troubleshooting **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Any secondary schooling is helpful but not required. + Experience in a similar role or a degree in mechatronics is advantageous. **Why Work Here?** Fantastic growth opportunities, a solid and supportive culture, no micromanaging, and the freedom to develop skills or switch professions (e.g., from mechanic to electrician to automation). **Work Environment** This role is based in a steel mill that processes recycled material into building materials for the construction industry. The facility consists of large hanger-style buildings that are temperate in winter and hot in summer due to the foundry.
