Job Description
The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for the disassembly, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance on a variety of heavy machines in the shop. The machinery is used in various processes such as galvanizing or wet drawing of commercial wire. This role primarily involves motor and gear preventative maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting. Additionally, the technician may work on electrical, PLC, welding, and fabrication tasks.
ResponsibilitiesDisassemble, troubleshoot, and repair heavy machinery.Perform preventative maintenance on motors and gears.Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues.Work on electrical, PLC, welding, and fabrication tasks as needed.Ensure all machinery is functioning properly and safely.Essential Skills2+ years of industrial maintenance on heavy machinery.Mechanical capabilities with motors, gears, and bearings.Proficiency in welding.Familiarity with industrial electrical systems is a plus.Additional Skills & QualificationsMust provide own mechanic set of tools - metric tools are ideal.Open to considering automotive techs and mechatronics graduates.Focused on cultural fit and a self-starter with a can-do attitude.Why Work Here?
We offer a comprehensive benefits package including 40 hours of PTO prorated at the time of hire, an additional 24 hours PTO after 90 days, and PTO increases after the first and second year. Work Environment
The shop is cold in winter and hot in summer, spanning 48,000 sq. ft. with wire drawing machinery throughout, expanding to 60,000 sq. ft. in 2024. There are 20 total employees with a small crew on the second and third shifts. The maintenance crew currently consists of 2 members, expanding to 3.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $66560.00
- 40 hours PTO prorated at time of hire
