**Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled industrial mechanic to support our plant operations. The role involves tooling requirements for new products, understanding pneumatic and hydraulic systems, troubleshooting machinery, and maintaining preventive maintenance programs. The mechanic will ensure the efficient operation of all plant equipment, including filling and assembly lines.
**Responsibilities**
+ Initiate line/equipment tooling requirements in support of new products.
+ Understand pneumatic and hydraulic systems in the plant.
+ Install, check, adjust, and repair machinery, conveyors, and miscellaneous equipment.
+ Develop skills to meet required change-over standards.
+ Complete set-up of all filling and assembly equipment.
+ Maintain material usage to keep scrap levels at or below allowable standards.
+ Change and adjust process equipment such as filling heads, capper torque check weighers, labelers, pumps, and ancillary equipment.
+ Load components into hoppers or bins during initial startup and assist line service if required.
+ Respond to job assignments plant-wide.
+ Inspect and make repairs to maintain preventive maintenance programs.
+ Maintain records such as major maintenance, PM, IQOQPQ.
+ Operate all shop equipment except the CNC.
+ Make adjustments/repairs in electrical panels as defined in electrical Safe Practices for Mechanics.
+ Comply with company policy regarding GMP, good housekeeping, and all safety regulations.
**Essential Skills**
+ High school diploma or GED
+ 3 - 5 years of experience
+ Ability to read and work from detailed blueprints and schematics
+ Good knowledge of plant equipment and systems
+ Basic applicable computer skills
+ Minimum score of 46.64 on the Standard Timing Model Test
+ Ability to train other Tech Levels and Tech Level A employees
+ Operate power shop tools and common hand tools safely and effectively
+ Provide hand tools as required
+ Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and manipulate bulk drums weighing up to 400 pounds
+ Push and pull objects weighing up to 50 lbs
+ Stand and/or walk 90% of an 8-hour day, including climbing ladders or steps
+ Meet vision and hearing requirements

**Work Environment**
Climate-controlled, very clean, and highly automated facility. Work hours during training will be 40 hours per week, transitioning to 50-60 hours per week post-training, usually over 5 days. Shifts include first shift (6:45 AM - 3:30 PM), second shift (2:45 PM - 11:15 PM), and third shift (10:45 PM - 7:15 AM).
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to permanent Hire position based out of Oxford, North Carolina.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $33.00

**Workplace Type**
