Maintenance Mechanic
**Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic** **Job Description** The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for corrective and preventive maintenance of equipment and facilities. This role involves building new equipment and performing various miscellaneous tasks to ensure optimal operation. **Responsibilities** + Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on equipment and facilities. + Wire machines and read industrial schematics. + Utilize gauges, calipers, micrometers, and multimeters. + Assemble instrumentation and hook up relay and transformers to control panels. + Change and replace motors and cylinders. + Understand drawings to build and repair machinery. + Set up machines for operators. + Work in teams of 2 or 3 on projects, such as installing new production lines. **Essential Skills** + Electrical troubleshooting. + Mechanical troubleshooting. + Pneumatic systems. + Hands-on equipment maintenance experience. + Experience with electrical maintenance, mechanical assembly, and repair. + Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics. + Three plus years of experience in mechanical and/or electric maintenance. + High School diploma or relevant technical professional experience. + Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Speaking both English and Spanish is a plus. + Good analytical and critical thinking skills. + Demonstrated leadership ability. + Excellent oral and written communication skills. **Why Work Here?** Our company offers a dynamic work environment where your skills are valued and utilized to their fullest potential. The role involves close collaboration with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Human Resources departments. The work environment includes exposure to moving mechanical parts, occasional wet and/or humid conditions, ambient air, fumes, or airborne particles. The noise level is usually moderate but can occasionally be high, requiring the use of safety equipment. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Allendale, New Jersey. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
