Maintenance Mechanic
The Maintenance Mechanic will service equipment. This role performs repairs, corrections, replacement, inspections, documents, and files accordingly and reports back to the Plant Manager. This will be a multifaceted position where maintenance personnel will also be expected to assist in operations as an ancillary responsibility.

Direct Hire position$26.00 /annuallyFull Time work availableWeekend work requiredVarious shifts available (Monday through Friday)Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment; primarily loaders, shears, grapple, skid steers, forklifts, tractor/trailerPerform daily preventive maintenance on equipment as requiredPerform physical duties that are associated with the operation of equipmentComplete and maintain necessary paperwork pertinent to the assigned department Prepare all necessary documentation [Bill of Ladings, Work Orders, Purchase Orders, Tool Orders]Conveyor systems, hydraulic systems, PLC’sWelding, torch cutting, grinding, weld set-upSet up and break down machineryAssist operations by occasionally operating balers and heavy equipment such as skid steers, front loaders, and forklifts.Maintenance Mechanic Qualifications:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsProblem solvingWelding and grindingSort and identify tools and partsPass a pre-employment drug screeningPass a pre-employment background checkWilling to work overtime and weekends when necessaryHigh school diploma or GED, Trade school2 years minimum experience Maintenance/ MechanicHydraulics, pneumatics, electricalSit, stand, walk, and stoop for long periods of timeAble to climb in/on mobile equipmentExposure to physical operations in scrap recycling facilities, including walking/climbing in active industrial yards with uneven surfaces in inclement weatherApplicant may be subject to a background checkPre-employment drug screen (Excluding THC) is required as a condition of employment*A conviction record will not necessarily prevent you from being employed.
