**Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic**
**Job Description**
We have multiple openings for Maintenance Mechanics/Millwrights on the night shift. This direct hire opportunity comes with a sign-on bonus of $2000 and offers great benefits. Join one of the nation's largest manufacturers in their industry with steady growth projections. This is a union position with the potential for day or swing shifts in the future. All new hires will start on the night shift after the training period.
**Responsibilities**
+ Troubleshoot, install, maintain, and repair defective parts, machinery, and mechanical equipment, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, physical structures, plumbing, hydraulic, and automated systems.
+ Perform preventive maintenance activities such as lubricating, aligning components, and observing operations, vibrations, and noise levels.
+ Set up and operate lathe, drill press, mill, welder, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
+ Work safely by observing safety rules, policies, and procedures, and identify unsafe conditions or actions.
+ Respond to work orders submitted by employees.
+ Work independently as well as part of a team.
+ Assist the supervisor in ordering parts.
+ Plan and obtain cost estimates and execute projects under the guidance of the maintenance supervisor.
+ Maintain clean and organized work areas, cleaning up areas after tasks are complete.
+ Participate in and execute actions from the quality improvement program.
+ Perform emergency/breakdown repairs as needed.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience/knowledge in mechanical troubleshooting, welding, metal fabrication, plumbing, pneumatics, confined space, and mobile equipment
+ Ability to problem solve and prioritize work
+ Ability to work with minimum supervision
+ Ability to accurately use and read a variety of measuring devices
+ Ability to bend, squat, kneel, and climb frequently
+ Ability to lift average weighted materials (50 lbs.) and up to 70 lbs. occasionally
+ Ability to read machinery manuals and diagrams
+ Mechanical Journeyman or Technical/Vocational Certificate preferred but not required

**Work Environment**
This is an industrial plant environment. The large facility includes office spaces and a production floor with many machines and production lines. It can be loud at times with forklifts driving around, but it is a clean and orderly facility. Shifts are Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays as needed. The grave shift is from 11 pm to 7 am, and training will be on day or swing shifts for a few weeks before moving to nights.

This is a Permanent position based out of Beaverton, Oregon.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $68058.00 - $81080.00
401k plan, union benefits, medical, dental, sick time, disability, etc. Please inquire for full benefits package and summaries. there are union dues associated with this position.
**Workplace Type**
This is a fully onsite position in Beaverton,OR.
