**Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic** **Job Description** We have multiple openings for Maintenance Mechanics/Millwrights on the night shift. All new hires will start on the night shift after the training period. **Responsibilities** + Troubleshoot, install, maintain, and repair defective parts, machinery, and mechanical equipment, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, physical structures, plumbing, hydraulic, and automated systems. + Perform preventive maintenance activities such as lubricating, aligning components, and observing operations, vibrations, and noise levels. + Set up and operate lathe, drill press, mill, welder, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts. + Work safely by observing safety rules, policies, and procedures, and identify unsafe conditions or actions. + Respond to work orders submitted by employees. + Work independently as well as part of a team. + Assist the supervisor in ordering parts. + Plan and obtain cost estimates and execute projects under the guidance of the maintenance supervisor. + Maintain clean and organized work areas, cleaning up areas after tasks are complete. + Participate in and execute actions from the quality improvement program. + Perform emergency/breakdown repairs as needed. **Essential Skills** + Mechanical troubleshooting + Preventive maintenance + Repair + Welding + Mechanical + Blueprint reading + Schematics + Safety + Electrical + Machine maintenance + Fabrication + Hydraulics + Pneumatics + Manufacturing industry + Machine repair + Mechanical troubleshooting + Installation + Industrial maintenance + Motors + Generator **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience/knowledge in mechanical troubleshooting, welding, metal fabrication, plumbing, pneumatics, confined space, and mobile equipment + Ability to problem solve and prioritize work + Ability to work with minimum supervision + Ability to accurately use and read a variety of measuring devices + Ability to bend, squat, kneel, and climb frequently + Ability to lift average weighted materials (50 lbs.) and up to 70 lbs. occasionally + Ability to read machinery manuals and diagrams + Mechanical Journeyman or Technical/Vocational Certificate preferred but not required **Why Work Here?** We offer a sign-on bonus of $2000 and a direct hire opportunity with great benefits. It can be loud at times with forklifts driving around, but it is a clean and orderly facility. Shifts are Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays as needed.
