**Maintenance Mechanic HIRING ASAP STARTING AT $28** **Job Description** As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for operating, optimizing, and maintaining assigned production equipment. You will ensure the equipment runs smoothly, minimize downtime, and sustain budgeted waste levels while maintaining high product quality. You will also perform preventative maintenance, start up equipment, monitor component inventories and safety guards, and maintain a neat and orderly production environment. **Responsibilities** + Operate, optimize, and maintain assigned production equipment + Meet and exceed production standards while maintaining product quality + Minimize and prevent equipment downtime and sustain budgeted waste levels + Maintain accurate equipment logs and record downtime and maintenance problems + Perform preventative maintenance on equipment + Start up equipment and ensure accurate functioning + Monitor component inventories and safety guards + Maintain a neat and orderly production environment + Monitor in-process quality and address issues as needed + Perform required quality checks and process challenges + Follow safety and environmental procedures and Quality System Requirements + Support upstream and downstream operations + Perform rework as required + Work optimally in a team environment **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Mechanical Experience or Proficiency required and 2 years experience preferred + Knowledge of automated processes required + 6-12 months of manufacturing experience desired + Working with hydraulics and pneumatics required **Work Environment** This is a direct placement role with a night shift schedule of 3-2-2-3 from 8pm-8am. Training will be extensive and initially conducted during the first shift before transitioning to the night shift. The plant operates 24/7, providing a large and dynamic work environment. Onboarding begins on Mondays. **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent position based out of Sumter, South Carolina **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $56160.00/yr.
