The Maintenance Mechanic will perform hands-on preventative maintenance,
troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing of mechanical and electrical systems daily.
This position supports the daily achievement of production goals through ensuring the
proper functionality of our machines.

Work Experience
Job Expectations:
1. Respond to unscheduled/emergency work orders in an expedient and urgent manner.
2. Receive direction from Maintenance Lead, Supervisor and/or Maintenance Manager.
3. Complete assigned work by Maintenance Lead, Supervisor and/or Maintenance Manager.
4. Document work completed in Maintenance CMMS System.
5. Communicate directly with Production Department to coordinate maintenance and repair work.
6. Troubleshoot issues with structured approach to minimize production impact.
7. Housekeeping duties to include sweeping, cleaning, and sanitizing both work areas throughout the plant
and maintenance shop area, as necessary.
8. Report any food safety issue observed to Manager or Supervisor.
9. Report any security breaches, attempts at product tampering or contamination, or other suspicious
behavior observed to Manager or Supervisor.
10. Works with contractors and assists with new installations and other projects, as necessary.
11. Always maintain a food-safe sanitary environment.
12. Escalate any non-conforming product/equipment/material to the appropriate manager/supervisor
immediately.
13. Promote a positive proactive environment where input from team members is valued and encouraged.
14. Available for overtime work on a scheduled or call-in basis, as necessary.
15. Provide back-up support for other roles, as necessary.
Qualifications:
1. 2 -5 years of relevant experience.
2. Excellent knowledge of maintenance and operation principles, policies, and practices.
3. Thorough working knowledge of PLC, pneumatic operated systems, schematics, one phase, three
phases’ motors, all aspects of conveyor feeding and packaging.
4. Able to perform projects independent, and complete work in a timely fashion.
5. Experienced with all working tools, AC/DC electrical systems, calibrated measuring instruments,
hydraulic/pneumatic systems, among others.
6. Able to read and interpret diagrams, charts, schematics, documents.
7. Able to perform basic math.
8. Able to perform predictive and preventative maintenance.
9. Self-starter with the ability to work in a team environment.
10. Effectively verbal and written communication.
11. Experience in the food industry is preferred.
12. Bilingual (Spanish) preferred but not required.
Physical Demands:
1. Ability to walk, stand, and lift heavy objects for an extended period.
